Commercial Real Estate Firm KLNB Names Vitamin Agency of Record

— Newly Expanded Partnership Solidifies Working Relationship of More Than 13 Years —
— Decision Driven by KLNB’s 50th Anniversary, Active Expansion Within the D.C. Market and Need to Better Reflect Firm’s Full-Service CRE Offering —

Baltimore, Md. – KLNB, the full-service commercial real estate brokerage, announced today that it has named Vitamin®, the web and public relations agency, its agency of record (AOR). This newly expanded partnership deepens the companies’ working relationship of more than 13 years. As AOR, Vitamin is now handling KLNB’s fully integrated marketing-communications strategy, inclusive of rebranding, press relations, website redesign, social media and ongoing SEO. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“As we approach our 50th year, we continue to push forward. We are actively expanding our operations in Washington, D.C., and seeking the most qualified brokers out there to fuel our growth,” said Andrew J. Georgelakos, the firm’s managing partner for the past 17 years. “After working with Vitamin for all these years, it was a natural fit for us to hire them as a long-term partner at such an important time. We wanted to invest in a marketing and branding firm that can create and implement a total marketing strategy, particularly with the integration of public relations.”

Vitamin has already begun handling KLNB’s press relations, including managing the announcement of Georgelakos’ pending retirement from KLNB after 31 years and following the firm’s two most successful years, with nearly $1.5 billion in annual transaction volume for both 2015 and 2016. Vitamin also handled the subsequent announcement around the appointment of KLNB’s new president and COO, Marc Menick, a veteran in the commercial real estate industry. The agency has also led press strategies for several other KLNB corporate announcements and commercial real estate trend pieces across the mid-Atlantic, including D.C., where the firm is actively expanding.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with KLNB in refreshing and re-positioning the firm’s brand during this exciting time of transition and growth,” said Mike Karfakis, founder and chief operating officer of Vitamin. “KLNB is widely known for its expertise in retail, office and industrial leasing, but there’s tremendous opportunity to better market the firm’s depth of expertise across investment sales, property management, financing and related offerings. What we are especially looking forward to is our second-phase initiative with KLNB in capitalizing on the new brand through PR, SEO and web marketing aimed at creating measurable ROI through in-bound lead generation.”
